DeWitt

DeWitt (unknown city of origin and date of birth) is a widely travelled Nameless mage operating within Australia.

Apparently entering the orbit of Pentacle society in 2007, it is known that he has previously attempted to join the Mysterium but was rebuffed for undisclosed reasons. Subsequent travels have put him in the orbit of various unsavoury Nameless mages, studying and eliminating Abyssal and Seer threats ever since.

In recent years he has been offered induction into the Adamantine Arrow due to demonstrated capabilities, however he has rebuffed the offer now preferring to remain Nameless. DeWitt makes a habit of setting clearly defined boundaries with Diamond mages, usually defaulting to written agreements outlining terms of operation when working for them - clearly agreed upon and understood terms allows him to not be considered a threat.

His current level of development of the arcane arts is unclear, however he has identified himself as a "Space Adept with other skills".

Known Timeline[edit]

  • 2007: Applied to join the Mysterium, was not successful
  • 2007-2016: Has appeared all over Australia investigating rumours of artifacts or strange events and mentoring Nameless mages
  • 2017, Jan: Appeared in Launceston after being pulled there by mages of Den Cirque Av Rozor

Rumours[edit]

  • Should be considered an "Apostate", not a Nameless - has no apparent interest in joining a Diamond Order or the Free Council
    • When offered the Arrow invite, he rejected it over "not wanting to be typecast"
  • Is known to have skill with Space, Prime, Time and Fate arcana
    • May be a Master, rather than an Adept
  • Knows a lot about the Seers... maybe too much
    • Has been suspected of being a Seer at one time or another
  • His shadow name may be a reference to his past
    • Baptism/past sins motif?
    • Maybe lost a child?
  • Has openly stated that prior to his abduction to Launceston, he was out on the Nullarbor plain seeking... something
  • Smokes to keep away fae spirits
